Lazy Day Wardrobe

Let's admit it...we all have lazy days. You know, those days that you really do not feel like dressing up. Maybe because you are too busy or tired the previous day. And thinking what to wear the next day is not a priority. Well today, please just call me the "lazy day saver". You really wouldn't want to look too lazy and just came out of bed when you go out.

For sure, there is a piece in your closet which you really can grab and go. Pairing it with any accessory wouldn't be a problem.

As of my "lazy day" attire-it would consist of the following, a dainty dress (notice how plain the dress is), pair it with a vintage necklace and a handbag.

These pieces are something you really can pull off in a snap without thinking too long.

When it comes to a lazy day outfit, it’s important to make sure you have some good basic wardrobe staples to throw together last-minute.

Quick and Easy Hair Bun Tutorial

So you want to try the popular hair trend? Don't know where to buy that perfect hair bun maker or you simply do not know how to achieve it? I'm here to help. Have you ever thought that the trick to that beautiful hairdo is just in your kitchen?

A practical and pretty way. No excuse for not trying it. Let's start with the secret tool.

A sponge. Yes, you've read it right. You can buy this from supermarkets/market or a general merchandise store. Should be round. Price: PhP 22.40. :)

Using a knife or scissors, remove the center part of the sponge.

Then let's proceed to your hair. Pull your hair to a high ponytail, the higher, the better.

Put the sponge on your ponytail.

Use the sponge to shape how your hair is going to look like.

Just roll it around your hair like this:

Now forgive me for not fixing my hair, but you can make a doughnut shape hairstyle if you would just spend time to fix it. I was just in a hurry during the shoot. :)

Granny Chic

Who says granny fashion is not wearable? Yes, you've read it right! Granny, short for grandma/grandmother. I'm not specifically referring to clothes owned by our granny but to fashion pieces or patterns that actually look like older people wear often.

Florals. Brown color palette. Crocheted clothes/accessories. Cardigans. Lace. Plaid. These are some fashion items mostly seen from them.

This post is actually about "old lady inspired fashion". Many may have underestimated the power of granny-inspired pieces not knowing that it might fit well in one's wardrobe.

You might be wondering how did I come up with this kind of post. It is because of a single piece in my closet that's very tricky to wear. If you do not pair it well, you would look really old. It has to be matched well.

Style Tips:

In choosing a granny chic peg wardrobe, choose just one piece to highlight. Else, you would really look way older than your age.

Keep it up to date with the right accessories.

4 Closet Staples You Should Own

The Frugalista Project team is here again for a rescue, this time-let's check your closet if you have these basics.

Why you should have these 4 pieces? Simply because you'll wear them over and over again in a million different ways.

And in this post, I have them altogether!

1. White long sleeves (or white tee shirt)

It goes with anything, under a blazer, tucked into a high waist skirt, with shorts, pants, and in any color!

2. Washed denim pants

Simpy because this fashion piece is seasonless, timeless and effortlessly chic.

Denim on Denim

I was hooked on Pinterest lately and came across with a pin on denim on denim and it looked fab. In case you missed my first post about denim, click here. :)

Denim on denim? I was kinda hesitant at first if it would look good or not. Besides, 2013 is a year of everything unexpected in fashion, print on print, monochromatic look, and even houndstooth. And so I went denim on denim, fancy blue from top to bottom. Though different textures will give your outfit an element of surprise.

Vintage Vigan

Vigan City is a special place often described as "the city where time stood still". Visiting Vigan has always been part of TFP girls' bucket list, and glad to say we already crossed it out when we explored the place few months ago. You guys all know that we love anything vintage, and of course that includes Vigan. :)

This city offers a lot of places you should see. Actually, it feels like you are travelling back in time because they managed to preserve a wonderful heritage.
