If there's one word which best describes the latest buzz in the fashion industry at this very moment, it is 'vintage'. It has become the ultimate trend actually.
This post is a second feature, check Tina's version:
As for my take about this, who says vintage can't be modern? We can help you rock a vintage look just by adding the right amount of contemporary pieces in your outfit.
The vintage piece: a top with lace and Peter Pan collar in bubble gum shade.

The look:
Vintage Bubblegum Top: UK! este ukay, (thrift store)
White Shorts: Given by a friend, (it does not fit her daw)
Booties: Payless
Shades: Japan Home Plus (who would have thought, right?)
|
*Set one vintage piece as a focal point in your outfit.
*If you are going for a vintage basic, pair it up with modern accessories to make it up-to-date still.
*Think of accessories in neutral shade that will complement with the vintage garment.
*If you opt for vintage accessories like bag, shades or shoes, wear a contemporary basic like a white dress. It will balance off the look, drawing more attention to the accessories and not to your outfit.
*The trick is to actually set balance, else it would look like you are donning a costume. (that's basically the worst case scenario)

The advantage of vintage is that you can find something that no one else has and can buy, which will make your look, unique and original. (not to mention, you are also able to save money by buying vintage)
